Key Moment
Tied at 1 in the sixth, the Chargers used four hits — three of them for extra bases — to grab the lead. Maddi Benson (Spring Bay, Ill./Metamora) knocked a one-out triple to center, and Rademaker brought her home with a double to left. After a groundout, Shelby Glover (Elmwood, Ill./Elmwood) plated Rademaker with a triple to right, and Rylee Krebsbach (Aledo, Ill./Sherrard) singled to left for a 4-1 Sandburg lead.
Sandburg Standout
Rademaker came off the bench and was at the plate for each of Sandburg’s first two runs. Her liner to second in the fourth led to an error that brought home Kayla Wolf (Chillicothe, Ill./Illinois Valley Central) to tie the game at 1.
